"Being a full-time working mum of three, I hardly get the chance to do any walking or cycling. After joining BetterPoints, I started to do daily activities and it keeps me motivated. I have shared the app with many of my friends and we text each other our points and challenges that keeps us motivated as a team. In the past year, due to work stress, I have not been finding the time to do any activity and then I saw the challenges on BetterPoints for Bike Week and Move More in 24 and started back into the routine.
The leaderboards help motivate me and my friends. I use the points I earn for the Lampton Leisure Centre swim passes. So, I could swim together with my daughter who attends the swim school.
My activity habits have changed positively. I will make sure I have completed the whole "travelled actively" circle. I avoid taking the car to the station when I go to work and rather walk the distance (25-30 min walk). I also cycle with my 7-year-old daughter in the local park. Even if my day has been hectic, I will still do a 20 min walk which I never did before.
I had been on the borderline for high blood pressure and I had put on weight. I have been able to control my blood pressure and feel proud of myself for the targets and the challenges I accomplish. Furthermore, I use the points to get the Lampton Leisure Centre swim passes, so I do not have to buy them anymore."
